IPA (2024 – 2025) Playoffs Match 3 Recap
Overview
The IPA 2024–2025 tournament resumed with the third and final IPA Playoffs match on April 12.
Georgia Tech, Oxford, Waterloo and Carnegie Mellon win their respective groups and will face each other in the IPA Finals on May 25.
5 seed Georgia Tech wins Group A with a one-point lead over 12 seed Cornell, while 16 seed Cambridge and 1 seed Vanderbilt trail by 12 and 16 points, respectively. Cornell wins the third playoff match but comes up just short of Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech qualifies for the IPA Finals for the second time, after finishing second in the 2023 IPA Finals.

6 seed Oxford wins Group B with a four-point lead over 11 seed Wisconsin, while 15 seed McGill and 2 seed Northwestern trail by 13 and 27 points, respectively. Oxford qualifies for its first IPA Finals.

9 seed Carnegie Mellon wins Group D with a three-point lead over 4 seed Brown, a two-time IPA champion, while 13 seed Johns Hopkins and 8 seed Michigan trail by five and 10 points, respectively. A strong performance moves Carnegie Mellon up two spots to first, and the team qualifies for its first IPA Finals.
