IPA (2024 – 2025) Playoffs Match 2 Recap

Overview

The IPA 2024–2025 tournament resumed with the second IPA Playoffs match on April 5.

Georgia Tech and Waterloo lead their groups, Oxford and Wisconsin are tied for the lead in Group B, and Brown and Johns Hopkins are tied for the lead in Group D. Every team is still in contention for the IPA Finals with one playoff match to go.

Georgia Tech leads Group A after moving from the bottom of the group to first. Vanderbilt is three points behind, Cornell five points behind and Cambridge 10 points behind, as Cornell loses its lead and drops two places.

Oxford and Wisconsin are tied for first in Group B, with Oxford moving up two places and Wisconsin moving up one. Northwestern falls to the bottom of the group but is well within reach, just five points behind first. Group B is the most competitive group, with narrow point gaps across the board.

Waterloo continues to lead Group C. Wake Forest shows a strong performance and overtakes Virginia for second, while North Carolina struggles with penalties and falls further behind.

Brown and Johns Hopkins are tied for first in Group D, with Carnegie Mellon only five points behind and Michigan nine points back. Group D is also one of the most competitive groups, with every team still in contention for a Finals spot.
