IPA (2024 – 2025) Playoffs Match 1 Recap
Overview
The IPA 2024–2025 tournament resumed with the first IPA Playoffs match on March 29.
Cornell, Northwestern, Waterloo and Brown lead their respective groups to kick off the IPA Playoffs. Waterloo starts off dominant, and Northwestern and Brown are the only top seeds to lead their groups.
12 seed Cornell leads Group A, with the rest of the group within reasonable reach: 1 seed Vanderbilt trails by five points, Cambridge by six and Georgia Tech by seven. There are still many hands to be played in the playoff series.

2 seed Northwestern leads Group B, with 11 seed Wisconsin close behind by four points. McGill and Oxford trail further back by eight and 10 points, respectively, but both remain within reasonable reach.

10 seed Waterloo leads Group C, dominating its tables with a healthy 32 points. Virginia and North Carolina sit in the middle, trailing by 16 and 19 points, respectively, while Wake Forest lags far behind with nine points.

Two-time IPA champion Brown leads Group D. Carnegie Mellon and Johns Hopkins are tied for second, both eight points behind, while Michigan gets off to a weak start and trails the group leader by 18 points.
