IPA (2024-2025) Match 1 Recap
Overview
The IPA 2024-2025 season officially kicked off with Match 1 on January 18th.
This year’s tournament features a competitive field of 37 teams, all vying for the IPA Championship title. Each match consists of five simultaneous sit-and-go games, with teams fielding five players to accumulate points based on individual performance.
Group A sees Wisconsin take the early lead, with Cornell and McGill closely trailing. Tufts and USC will need stronger performances in future matches to climb the standings, while Bocconi trails but has plenty of opportunities ahead.

Group B is led by Waterloo, with Emory and Yale keeping pace. CalTech and UChicago remain in the mix, while UVA will need to post stronger results in the coming matches.

Group D sees Johns Hopkins take the top spot, followed closely by Northwestern and Cambridge. Berkeley, Harvey Mudd, and Occidental will need to step up in the coming matches to stay in contention.

Group E is dominated by Oxford, delivering a commanding performance and distancing itself from Wake Forest and Princeton. UNC, UW, and UChicago Booth will need to improve to remain competitive.
