IPA (2022-2023) Match 2 Recap
Overview
The IPA 2022-2023 tournament resumes with Match 2 on January 14th and 15th.
Vanderbilt, Wesleyan, Pomona, UPenn, Tufts, and Waterloo lead their respective groups. Vanderbilt, Wesleyan, and Waterloo show strong performances. Both IPA champions, Boston University and Brown, trail their groups.
Group A continues with another dominant performance by Vanderbilt. Harvey Mudd maintains their gap over Michigan and Michigan expands their lead by a margin over MIT. Boston picks up pace from Match 1 but still has ways to go to catch up to the rest of the pack.

Group B continues with another strong performance by Wesleyan. Claremont McKenna moves up to second and Northwestern falls to third. Defending IPA champions Brown continues to trail the group. The team puts up a healthy number of points and closes in on Manchester. Brown is behind by a single point.

Group C leads with Pomona. The team further expands their lead over Cornell who sits in second. USC plays strong fundamental poker and moves up three places to third. Oxford, NYU, and Washington University all fall a spot.

Group D leads with UPenn and sees a tight competition in Match 2 scores. UPenn maintains their lead in first. UCSD, Georgia Tech, and Chicago Booth are all within a 2 point margin of each other. Chicago Booth moves up to fourth while Northeastern falls to fifth. Still many more games for all the trailing teams to take their own leads.

Group E sees a large change in placements. Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Georgetown all rise to first, second, and third, respectively. Georgetown shifts up three places. Yale, Miami, and Victoria all fall. Yale moves from first to fourth. At the moment, wildcard picture is close between Georgetown, Yale, and Miami. Carnegie Mellon performing average in the group.

Group F now leads with Waterloo. The team holds a healthy lead over second with 25 points. Occidental moves up to second. New South Wales falls to third. Emory not too far behind.
