Overview

The IPA 2021-2022 tournament resumed with Match 4 on February 4th and 5th.

Cornell and Georgia Tech continue to dominate their groups while McGill has a surprise performance. Standings solidify and a few teams claim their playoff spots. Match 5 will determine the rest of the playoff teams.

Group A continues to lead with UNSW. UNSW and Pomona are favorites for the two playoff seats. Auckland and USC fight for the wildcard spot. Victoria and Sydney are still in contention for the wildcard spot. No changes in placements are realized.

Group B also sees no changes in placements. Columbia Law, Manchester, and Michigan are close with only 1.75 points differentiating first from third. William & Mary not too far behind.

Group C’s McGill has a surprise performance, dominating most of their tables. McGill now sits in first, up from fourth place. McGill and Claremont McKenna have a safety margin going into the final match of the regular season. Yale, Washington University, and Illinois are all in contention for the wildcard spot.

Group D’s Georgia Tech dominates once again. Georgia Tech and Oxford are clear favorites for the two playoff spots while Princeton maintains a healthy gap from Indiana who sits in fourth.

Group E sees close results amongst the top three teams. Waterloo deviates away from the group leaders, but is still well within contention of a playoff or wildcard spot. Vanderbilt, UPenn, and Tufts all need to show a strong performance in their final match.
