Boston University IPA Champions (2019 – 2020)

Congratulations to the Boston University poker team on winning the inaugural IPA tournament. BU defeated Brown University 14–11 in a best-of-25 heads-up match. The lineup of Grey Dunne, Nathan Josephs, Jackson O’Neill, Mason Snider, Gordon Shi and Song Xie, led by captain Jakub Dardzinski, now holds the Intercollegiate Poker Association championship title. BU and Brown took home $5,000 and $2,500 USD, respectively.

BU had an incredible run in its first university competition. The team lost only a single match during the regular season, in which the average team lost two and a half. BU went undefeated against Cornell, Michigan, MIT and Yale, finishing the regular season with a 4–1 record.

The team will return for the 2020–2021 IPA season, with the exception of Gordon Shi, who has graduated.
