IPA (2025 – 2026) Playoffs Match 3 Recap

Overview

The IPA 2025–2026 tournament resumed with the third and final IPA Playoffs match on March 7.

Waterloo, Penn, Cambridge and NYU win their respective groups and will meet in the IPA Finals on April 11.

9 seed Waterloo wins Group A with 64 points, eight ahead of 16 seed Emory and 1 seed WashU. WashU wins four of the five tables and scores a match-high 32 points but finishes eight points short. 8 seed Michigan ends fourth on 33. Waterloo returns to the IPA Finals as the defending champion.

7 seed Penn wins Group B with 67 points after leading the group from the opening match. 2 seed Imperial and 15 seed Virginia finish level on 49, 18 points back, and 10 seed Wake Forest ends on 45. Penn qualifies for its first IPA Finals.

6 seed Cambridge wins three tables and takes Group C with 68 points, 16 ahead of 3 seed Boston College. 14 seed Warwick finishes third on 47 and 11 seed Yale fourth on 43. Cambridge reaches its second IPA Finals, after its first appearance in 2020–2021.

4 seed NYU wins Group D with 68 points, 15 ahead of 13 seed Dartmouth. 5 seed Georgia Tech finishes one point behind Dartmouth in third, and 12 seed Cornell ends on 37. NYU qualifies for its first IPA Finals.
